Pastor Cameron L. McGill

Pastor Cameron L. McGill has served in full-time ministry for more than 30 years.

He was saved at the age of 8 and sensed God’s call to Gospel ministry at age 15. In April 2014, God led him to launch the LAKE Campus at White Lake, a ministry that later expanded to include White Lake Christian Camp, a waterfront retreat in White Lake, North Carolina

Family & Missions

Pastor Cameron is married to his partner in ministry, Tiffany Julian McGill. Together they have four children: Hastin, Brooks, Jay, and Leah.   

 

The McGill family also lovingly considers Tabitha Mesina Short of Vadul Lui Isac, Moldova, their adopted daughter. Tabitha now lives in California with her husband, Caleb, and their children, Everly, Toby, and Jonah.

The McGill family shares a heart for ministry and a passion for missions “Here, There, and Everywhere,” in the spirit of Acts 1:8. They have traveled globally on mission for the Lord. Since 2011, Pastor Cameron has established mission partnerships in New York City and Moldova, Europe. Cameron and Tiffany have led many mission trips to these and many other destinations.

Pastor Cameron has served faithfully in ministry across North Carolina and beyond.

  • Lake Church: Founder and Pastor

  • White Lake Christian Camp: Lead Pastor

  • First Baptist Church of Dublin, North Carolina: Senior Pastor from 2000 to 2018

  • Churches in Spencer and Rockwell, North Carolina: Youth Pastor before coming to Bladen County

  • Revivals and Conferences: Guest preacher across the country throughout the year

  • Mission Partnerships: New York City and Moldova, Europe

 

Education & Leadership

Pastor Cameron is a 1992 graduate of Kerwin Baptist Christian School in Kernersville, North Carolina. He attended Wingate College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Christian Ministry from Emmanuel Baptist University.

He is actively involved in the work of the Bladen Baptist Association and the Southern Baptist Convention. He has served in several leadership roles within North Carolina Baptist life, including Vice President of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina from 2013 to 2016 and President of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina in 2017. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors and on various committees within the State Convention.

He served as President of the North Carolina Pastor’s Conference in 2016 and currently serves as a Trustee of the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina.

In addition to his ministry at Lake Church, Pastor Cameron serves as a Bladen County Commissioner. Elected in 2020, he continues to make a difference both spiritually and politically.

 

Cameron and Tiffany also travel regularly on behalf of the American Renewal Project, challenging pastors and church leaders to run for public office and impact the culture with their Christian values.
